We have dedicated our lives to helping those who have lost someone dear. That is why we have extended our expertise to local families and their animal companions. Being pet owners and animal lovers ourselves we realize the bond and relationship shared with our pets. They are family members and dear friends. It is only right that we treat their passing with the same respect and dignity we reserve for our family members.

We have raised the bar in pet memorial services and promise to constantly strive to improve those services to better fulfill the needs of pet owners, veterinarians and of course, our beloved pets. We are confident we can memorialize your dear friend and companion through personal expression, love and devotion.

At PET DIGNITY, we maintain the highest level of control and follow a series of redundant procedures to guarantee the individually of your beloved pet. We promise to treat every pet as a member of our family and grant the dignity and respect that every pet deserves.

On the website you will see what we offer in urns, caskets and pet grave markers.

Pet Dignity, serves Clinton, Highland, Fayette, Greene, Montgomery and Warren counties here in Ohio.

We are here 24 hours a day to serve you and your family.

"People bury people because they have to.
People bury pets because they WANT TO!"

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion"

KNOW YOUR CHOICES

Do what's right for you, your pets and those that loved them.

Visitations

Pet visitation does not have to be a formal event although it may help people bring closure to the loss of your pet. You may choose to hold visitation at a personal location, or if allowed, at your veterinarian's or crematoriums location. Ask your veterinarian or other animal service provider about visitation options they may know about.

Burial

Burial is traditional and widely accepted. Depending on where you live, there may be restrictions on where you are allowed to bury your pet. Some communities will have pet cemeteries. Be sure to check your local ordinance before burying your pet.

Cremation

For many pet owners, cremation is a sensible option. We at PET DIGNITY do not endorse nor practice "community cremation". Each cremation is a single cremation. Your pets cremains are 100% your pets. PET DIGNITY offers service in which we do not use a postal service nor carrier to deliver your pets cremains. We make the delivery ourselves by our hearse to your home or cemetery.

Do what's best for you.

Whatever you decide, you have to be comfortable with your decision. Be aware of the choices you have and make sure to do what's best for you, your pet and those that are affected by your loss.

It's OK to grieve.

Understanding that losing a pet is very much the same as losing any friend or family member. It's very normal to experience the same emotions and go through a grieving period as you and others adjust to difficult times.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Being in the Pet Funeral Business I find that people are very interested in what we do and how we do things. The following are questions and answers which may help you understand how our services operate for you.

Q: “When our animal has passed away and we call you what happens next”?

A: When you call Pet Dignity you will be asked where the animal is located, the pets

name, date of birth and the owners name. We will come to the location in our vehicle.

We will ask you where the remains are. We at that time will bring our mortuary cot to

the location. A body bag will be furnished and we will place the remains in the body

bag and place it on the cot. We will allow you to spend as much time with your pet as

you wish before we take the animal to our location or crematory.

Q: ”When do we make arrangements”?

A: When we make the removal at your home or vets office we will sit down and talk

with you concerning your wishes. We offer pet caskets, cremation and cremation urns.

For more information concerning pet caskets, cremation, cremation urns and prices

please click on the links at the top of our webpage.

Q: “What about payment”?

A: When we make the removal of your pet and we talk about what kind of services you

want, we will add up the cost and you have the choice to pay in full or we will ask for

half down and the balance at the final time of service. We do offer and encourage pre-

arrangement plans. Call us for more details concerning this method.

Q: “If I choose cremation when will I receive my animal’s cremains”?

A: Our policy is you will receive your cremains within 7-10 days. We do not use a

shipping company nor postal service. We deliver your pet’s cremains back to you

personally. Pet Dignity believes in service and service is what we want you to get. If your

pet has any items on it's body that you wish to keep, please remove them. We will double

check with you about this. Once cremation takes place any items that are with the pet

     are non-returnable.

Q: “If we choose a regular funeral, how many days before we can expect the

      burial”?

A: We try our best to cooperate with the cemetery you choose. If burial is desired on private

property please check with city or village rules in your area. Usually burial will

take place the next afternoon. Before we go to the cemetery, if you choose, you

may have visitation at your home. This service is free of charge. If weather or

cemetery has a delay, an open casket and visitation will be offered the next day.

After two days we do not recommend open casket viewing.

We are here to serve you. If you have any questions please ask so we may be of help.
